Here You Leave Today
It’s a new month, which means that it’s time for a new bracket. (OK, it’s just a coincidence that the new bracket has begun on the same day as a new month. Whatever.) So far, my Disney-themed brackets have encompassed everything from Disney songs to live-action films to theme-park attractions and plenty in between. For the new bracket, I’ve chosen to move back to the continental Disney theme parks so that everyone can choose the very best land/pavilion.

So, there a few points here I want to make, but instead of just writing it out per usual, I figure I’ll structure this in the manner of FAQs.
You’re doing another bracket?
I sure am! I’m now beginning my 21st week of being at home during the pandemic, with little end in sight. Just as before, my major impetus here is…y’know, why the hell not?
I’m not a big theme-park person. Should I vote?
Of course you should. I can’t make you do anything, but I strongly endorse people voting here just to vote in something. If you haven’t been to the Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resorts before, or in a long time, what’s stopping you from picking something on a whim? I say go for it.
Tricked you — I am a big theme-park person. What’s going on with these choices?
So, I’ve chosen to limit myself, as was the case with the attraction bracket, only to the parks in the United States. Though I know of the theme parks in Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, I’ve never visited there and wasn’t sure I’d be as able to seed the lands there as accurately.
I see some pavilions here, like the ones in Epcot. Are those the equivalent of lands, though?
For the purposes of this bracket, I consider them equal. At the end of the day, it’s my goofy bracket and again…day 141 of quarantine. I can’t help it if I make questionable choices!
I also see some choices here that no longer exist at the parks. What’s up with that?
64 seeds for this bracket meant that I needed to get creative. So just as I’ve selected some pavilions to fit alongside traditional lands, I’ve expanded this to include some locations that are no longer with us. For all I know, one of them might win the whole bracket!
OK, I’m willing to vote. But for the current lands, am I voting based on how they are now? Or when they opened? Or the way they were on my trip four years ago?
Listen, at the end of the day, I cannot tell you how you’re going to vote on any of these polls. But. My intent is that the current lands, from Adventureland to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, are meant to be voted as they exist right now. (Or, for Disneyland, as they were on the last day of operation before the park closed.) But that’s still your call.
