Today is quite the banner day — not for the newsletter or the bracket, but for me personally, as I’m celebrating my 15th wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years, because the time zooms by so quickly, and yet I remain both extremely in love and extremely aware of how lucky I am to be with my wonderful wife.
But if you have followed the brackets long enough, you know that this is almost a “neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow” type of thing. Barely anything stops the brackets! And we have more first-round matchups in the Ultimate Disney Parks Attraction bracket for you to vote on…right now!
(8) Radiator Springs Racers vs. (57) Disney Junior Dance Party (WDW): I am not the biggest fan of the Cars films, but there’s little doubt that Radiator Springs Racers is an impressive achievement (while also being a riff on the Test Track attraction at Epcot). Disney Junior Dance Party is…nice for my toddler. But not enough to get my vote.
How about you?
Radiator Springs Racers
Disney Junior Dance Party (WDW)
(25) Redwood Creek Challenge Trail vs. (40) Citizens of Hollywood: I believe I’ve already been on the record stating it, but just in case I haven’t: I would argue strongly that the Grizzly Peak section of Disney California Adventure is enormously underrated. So even though Redwood Creek Challenge Trail can give you more than enough of a workout if you’re chasing after your energetic children (perhaps I speak from experience!), it gets my vote, no question.
But what about you?
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Citizens of Hollywood
(9) Main Street Electrical Parade vs. (56) A Christmas Fantasy Parade: These parades are both pretty excellent. Let’s get that much out of the way to start with — seeding aside, this is not a terribly lopsided match. I can see it being pretty close! But also…I mean, the Main Street Electrical Parade is an all-timer. It’s gotta win this one.
Right?
Main Street Electrical Parade
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
(24) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (DL) vs. (41) Reflections of China: As I recall — and this is where I encourage you to correct me in the comments, a rare occurrence if ever there was one — you have to stand to experience the Circle-Vision show Reflections of China in the World Showcase section of Epcot. You do not have to stand to experience the dark ride featuring Winnie the Pooh and his friends.
I’m sorry to say, that is enough for me to vote for Pooh. How about all of you?
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (DL)
Reflections of China
As I spammed repeatedly on Twitter when Pooh participated in earlier brackets, the part where he floats out of his body and into the Heffalumps and Woozles room is my favorite part of any Disney character dark ride and I will smash the button in support of that attraction until they take my computer away from me.
Congrats on 15 years!
