The Disney Parks Live-Entertainment Bracket -- Round Four, Day Four
Good morning, friends! I hope you’re all doing well on this fine morning, and certainly better than Bob Chapek, who got to be the subject of another extended essay at the Wall Street Journal that explores in some detail how it is that he got ousted by Bob Iger as the CEO of the Walt Disney Company. I will here note that I find it fascinating how the article doesn’t dive too deeply into the part that compels me most: that after years of false starts, Iger decided to leave and only after supposedly hand-picking Chapek as his replacement. I’d love to know why Iger ever thought this was the guy, considering how quickly he turned on his successor.
Maybe another day. For now, we must decide one more live-entertainment option to send to the Final Four. Let’s go!
(1) World of Color vs. (6) Dapper Dans (Disneyland): I don’t doubt that the Dapper Dans are going to make a fine push to the Final Four, but I’m sticking with the World of Color. The original show at Disney California Adventure is basically perfect to me, and I can’t bear seeing it depart before the finale.
But it’s not up to me — what do you think?
