The Disney Theme-Park Background Music Bracket -- Round Four, Day Two
To nowhere in particular.
Welcome to the last weekend of April, everybody. We’re one down, three to go, in terms of matchups in the current round of the Disney Theme-Park Background Music bracket, which means it’s gonna be May…before we’re done with this round.
Right now, I say we start the vote. Join me!
(1) Fantasyland Dark Ride Suite vs. (2) Buena Vista Street loop: If I had to guess, I would guess that the music loop that is partially represented by the photo above this section is going to win. Yes, I imagine it’s the Fantasyland Dark Ride Suite for the victory here, but. Ah, but. But it’s not my pick. The Buena Vista Street background loop is one of my favorite pieces of music in the Disneyland Resort, just as walking through Buena Vista Street is one of my favorite experiences in the Disneyland Resort. It’s not as good as Main Street, for obvious reasons, but frankly, the music? Well, the music is as good as it gets.
I think partly, the argument here is that some of the best background music in the Disney theme parks is not just “Here, it’s the audio to a ride.” That can be great, and I’m not saying it’s not great in other cases. But here, the vote is for “The audio to those rides I like!” or atmosphere. I vote for atmosphere.
How about you?
