Everest is peak (sorry) Disney thrill ride — deep queue theming, enough story to make the ride work, and it's a great coaster in its own right, with a fabulous twist (artistically and ride-wise) midway through the attraction. 10/10.
In my daughter's words, Na'vi River Journey is a "vibe." Our interpretation is not that its a story-telling ride, but a place-making one, simply allowing you to sail through a Na'vi environment. We love the design, with so many strange creatures, some innovative effects, a pleasant fragrance, and the clever use of screens to create depth of field. The Shaman AA is really marvelous, and the song is a definite earworm. We find it to be very peaceful and calming, and a great escape from the crowds. We just wish it were longer!
Agreed. I’ve only ridden it once but my mom and I did enjoy it. But it so so short. I realize it probably can’t be done now but after avatar 2 made another 2 billion dollars or whatever, surely they can expand the land, I heard they left room for an expansion pad.
Same. Im glad I Genie+ed this one because if I had waited in the quoted 90 minute standby queue I would have been pissed. The big hang ups for me were primarily how short it was followed by the over reliance on screen technology. The AA at the end though is amazing, just not something I would wait more than 30 minutes for.
No difficult choices here. When I heard what Maelstrom was going to be called, I hoped for a water-themed thrill ride, and instead I got a slightly breezy tour of troll country. I still enjoyed the ride, and I was sorry to see it go, but it would've been great if they'd done something a little more exciting with Norway. As it was, the short film inspired more excitement than the attraction that followed. Pity.
Voting WoC because Everest is fine but, outside the excellent queue theming, is arguably just a really good Six Flags ride in a Disney park. I'm glad it's there, but WoC is the kind of attraction that I buy my ticket for.

I was really unimpressed with Na’Vi River Journey. The animatronics are amazing, but it has zero story at all.

My ultimate nighttime spectacular vs the mountain I worked at for over a year - quite frankly, rude.
WoC still gets my vote, even if its the loser of this match. I love my mountain but WoC is just...better.
Oh man that Everest v WoC is TOUGH. I went WoC for nostalgia reasons but Everest is a great coaster. I'd be happy if either moved on
Everest vs world of color? So rude. So rude. I did vote for Everest obviously but I’m mad about it.
Heartbroken that World of Color is losing. It's my favorite nighttime show ever.
When will Peter Pan be outvoted?! I'm such a hater lol, I just want the ride to lose.
