Come with me into battle, Soarin' Over California people! There are *many* Disney attractions that are about thrills. There's only one, as far as I'm concerned, that's about majesty and awe. And that Goldsmith score tops anything in any incarnation of Space Mountain.
As somebody who LOVED Expedition Everest in his teens and 20s, I have a hard time riding it now as I close in on 40. Maybe it's just me, but it feels rougher than it used to and makes me queasier than coasters with inversions. The helixes out back towards the end of a ride really do a number on me now. So even if the Yeti were still working (I feel lucky to have ridden soon after opening and actually seen it work - it was extremely impressive) my vote would still go to Splash Mountain.
Gah that Soarin' v Space is brutal! If it was the other iteration of either (world & WDW respectively) it would be so much easier!. I went with Space but I don't love it! I want them both!
no matter how much I love OG soarin' the space mountain soundtrack has a death grip on my heart and will always always win.
Dick Dale ftw! 🙌

Interesting that Rise of the Resistance and Remy ended up head-to-head, given the similarities in the no-track motor car aspects of the ride.
