Annie vs. The Band Wagon was a very hard matchup. I like them both so much. I went with Annie at last for nostalgic reasons (and for Carol Burnett, who was brilliant!).
Fun choices today. Hair is a seminal piece - of theater. Easily as trend-setting and monumental as Oklahoma or Rent. But it's movie just doesn't feel like the same thing.
As for Annie... I was a ten-year-old theater kid who had some friends in the dance scenes, so I was obsessed. And Annie is a top 20 musical for me. But goodness gracious that movie goes to very weird places. Still Carol, Tim, Bernadette, Anne, and Albert F-ing Finney... But yeah, I didn't vote for it :)
“Hair” has not aged well. Watch the 5th Dimension in “Summer of Soul” instead, which is stacked with great performances!

My sister was one of those young girls enamored by Annie and couldn’t stop watching it on VHS. That’s why I voted for Band Wagon.
