Have yourself a merry little Christmas, everyone.
As one of the Best Fans in Musicals I am obligated to support Meet Me in St. Louis.
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is my absolute favorite Christmas song. Meet me in St Louis hasn’t aged the best, but the musical numbers are still top-tier.
I am assuming Josh has never seen The Young Girls of Rochefort, or there's no way in hell he would advocate for Evita over it. I like Evita. The movie of Evita was one of my gateway drugs into the world of musicals. It's very nicely directed. That said, Young Girls is one of the best films of the 60s and in my personal top 20 movies of all time.
Evita is indeed nice, but against Demy, absolutely not, sorry.
Kiss Me Kate gets the edge for being in 3D.
That Fosse snippet in KMK is a personal favorite! Love that you highlighted it.
