It's strange, Josh, that given all of the previous theme park brackets, it took this one to have me regularly questioning your sanity. But enough about "A MIGHTY WIND is better than SPINAL TAP."

I would say it is doubly strange considering that we co-hosted a podcast for years, and I gave you countless reasons to question my sanity during that experience!

I absolutely adore Elton John, and enjoyed Rocketman very much. It's a fun, trippy romp through a lot of really great songs, with fanciful cinematography and a really solid performance by Taron Egerton. I can't vote against it...at least not in the first round.

Bad news: Tommy has no chance

Worse news: Pink Floyd's The Wall didn't even make the cut.

Yeah, given some of the non-musicals that have been here, omitting THE WALL feels ... odd.

A great first round. I think Josh did a great job of picking and choosing from a myriad of eclectic films from so many eras. I was getting worried, there, that Cab and the Nichola Bros were gonna be missing. Phew!

Hurt to vote against Hedwig, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do

I adore A Mighty Wind, and I wish it got more attention for Eugene Levy in particular, but I can’t vote against Tommy, purely for the absolutely bananas imagery that Ken Russell put on the screen. As a movie, it’s just too wonderfully bizarre.

Eugene Levy made me howl with laughter and also well up with tears in the same film. A Mighty Wind is a treasure, dang it. A treasure!

I understand that there were a lot of musicals to sort through (and please don’t take it as criticism in any way), but out of curiosity, would you consider Some Like It Hot to be a musical?
