NewsRadio is one of the greatest television programs of all time. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. (And we miss you so much Phil).

I Love Lucy is an old show that’s aged semi-well. Physical comedy doesn’t really change and Lucille Ball was a master of that.

Married... With Children is an old show that has not aged well at all. It was a bit much even in its day (by design) and that doesn’t usually have any longevity. All In The Family has a similar problem, though it’s handled much more artfully and is a vastly better show with two amazing lead performances.

I don't think I've ever seen more than five minutes of "Soap," but the YouTube thumbnail (or preview pic or whatever those things are called) reminded me that "Benson" was a spinoff of it. And I adored "Benson." So "Soap" it is. Perfectly logical, no? :-)

How in the world is I Love Lucy seeded 9th? It just about defined the genre.

Sure, News Radio should go far in this thing. But making me vote against my most yearnful kid/teen crush sucks. Alyssa is just as cool today as she was then.

I feel bad pitting something like Eastbound and Down against something like 3rd Rock. Eastbound and Down had 29 episodes total, the creators told the story they wanted to tell and they ended the show. 3rd Rock ran for six years and had a lot of mediocre eps in those seasons. Those 25 greatest moments are very funny, but are we just ranking highs against highs? Or the whole show against the whole show?

Regardless, it seems like I don't have to feel that bad for 3rd Rock since it does seem to be winning currently. Interesting to see if that sticks throughout the day.

I Love Lucy was an easy choice. Bridge is right about the physical comedy. The scene pictured is from a sketch that inspired a similar scene in a novel I wrote. Looks like I chose the favorites today...I almost feel like I'm doing something wrong....
