And it totally wins this matchup for me. I thought it was a really cool showcase for practical effects in a built-for-use theatre. Every effect in this show is 200% better than any other live stage show Disney offers.
California Screamin' was one of my all time favorite roller coasters and they honestly killed the joy of it by foisting the incredibles onto it. Long live California Screamin'!
Yeah, the remodel was so disappointing. It’s so...Six Flags. (And yeah, that is an insult for me) I do like the mid century modern aesthetic of the queue I guess but the actual character models are bleh.
For the record, Voyage of the Little Mermaid has yet to reopen post-pandemic. From what I’ve heard, the venue has a serious mold problem that may be beyond redemption. It turns out that splashing water effects in an inside show multiple times a day and not regularly cleaning it off can do some serious damage!
Can't believe the inferior version of the Buzz Lightyear shooter ride is beating out *California Screamin'*!
People really like going pew pew I guess?
Pew pew!
Do not undervalue the pew pew factor.
Just FYI, Voyage of the Little Mermaid appears to be permanently closed, I don’t think it ever reopened after the pandemic closures.

(I amso was a big fan of like 90% of original DCA and a lot of the changes make me sad)

Splashed water indoors for decades! But the extended closure with no announcement gives me hope that they will remodel and live another day.
Having only ever been to WDW, what is that makes the DL Pirates so much more superior?
It’s much more detailed, in part because it’s twice as long.
Ah, gotcha. Thanks!
5 year old me is very upset I just voted against the Star Jets.
